Taiwo Hassan's daughter, Kira disclosed the in a social media post, revealing that doctors treating her father had reportedly told the family that they could no longer administer chemotherapy due to his condition.
In an emotional video, she appealed to anyone with knowledge of a medical facility, specialist or treatment option that could help her father, stressing that the family is desperate to find a way to improve his condition.
She said her father is in pain and does not want to die, adding that the family is exploring possible treatment options, including specialised medical care and other alternatives.
“We are not here to beg for money. What I’m here for is that if you can treat my daddy, if you can start chemo for him, whether it’s medical or health, please,” she said.
Kira also acknowledged the support the family has received from a senator, whom she said had been assisting with her father’s medical bills.
In a separate social media post, she reiterated that the family was not seeking financial donations but wanted information about anyone who could provide effective treatment.
“Please, we are begging you, dad, if you know who can treat him. Hospital is saying that they can’t give him chemo. Kindly send me or my sister a DM. Please, we are not begging for money,” she wrote.
The family is now appealing for urgent medical advice and assistance as they seek further treatment for the veteran actor.
